Some history

The PDC is , of course, a nett event. While most golfers plod through the 2-week IGC Club Championships dreaming of that miracle round in order have a chance of playing some 15 year old spotty herbert who hits it 290m in the quarter-finals, the PDC provides a genuine chance to any reasonable golfer who can string 2 rounds near their handicap. And no wasting valuable weekends in mindless Sunday morning play-offs. Just get it over and done with, except of course if a play-off is required.

Previous results:

PDC 2005 (23 and 30 July 2005)

Nice work Ferg - the blog looks great. A couple of notable moments that i can recall are:
- shirls raising the bat with a memorable 106 in the 2001 event
- hogarth 5 putting 12 east circa 2000
- crawford hitting the pin that was lying on the ground for a 2 shot penalty around 2002
- a quote from 2003 "It was up there with Shirls' greatest ever shot. Yes, I know I dredge out the memories of this one every year, but no one who was there will ever forget that lethal knifed shot from out that old greenside bunker on the right of the old par 3 4th Gold which almost made it to the Terrace Rugby fields."
- was johns famous run of 3 shanks in a row on the short par 3 5th on the east during a PDC. If not it should have been so stick it in anyway.
